Air fryer zucchini chips are a low effort snack that requires few ingredients and does not take much time to cook. Zucchini has approximately 95 percent water, which poses problems with the crisp texture. This problem is addressed through a detailed approach. This is made with a light breading by using three ingredients, zucchini, oil and seasoning resulting in a crunchy dish. The texture and flavor depend on proper slicing, moisture control, and proper air fryer settings.
Choose Firm, Fresh Zucchini

Use small to medium zucchini with smooth-skinned ones and no soft spots. Smaller seeds have fewer seeds and have less moisture. Zucchini Fresh zucchini is structurally sound when cooking under high heat and will evenly brown when placed in the air fryer basket.
Cut all the way through To cook evenly

Slice zucchini into very thin slices of 23mm thickness. Even dehydration and browning is guaranteed by consistent thickness. A mandoline slicer enhances accuracy and minimizes variance and thus it does not result in some slices burning and some being soft.
Remove Surface Moisture

Place slices on paper towel and sprinkle a little light salt on both. Blot off the excess water using a clean towel after 10-15 minutes. The measure lowers the moisture on the surface and enhances the crisp texture when hot air is flowing.
Use Minimal Oil

Lightly Spreads with one to two teaspoons of oil on each medium zucchini. Shake in a bowl to spread oil all over. Browning is achieved by direct contact of heat and does not form a wet surface.
Season Simply

A clean base is offered by salt and black pepper. Garlic or smoked paprika can be added in the form of powder to add flavor without obscuring the natural flavor of zucchini. add seasoning, when the oil has been applied to ensure that the spices are evenly applied and held together throughout cooking.
Arrange In A Single Layer

Put slices in a single layer in the basket of the air fryer. Avoid overlapping pieces. The airflow needs to have open room amid slices to cleanse moisture effectively in the food and produce a hard and crispy surface.
Set The Right Temperature

Heat the air fryer to 180 o C. Cooking time varies between 8 and 12 minutes depending on the thickness of the slices. Halfway in cooking, turn all the slices so that they can be evenly browned on either side.
Monitor Closely Near The End

It takes one to two minutes towards the end of the cooking period to change the color of zucchini to dark brown. Examine texture in the last few minutes of cooking. Take away slices when sides become deep golden, and centers solid to touch.
Cool Before Serving

Put the cooked chips in a wire rack as soon as it is ready. Cooling will help to get rid of any left-over steam and retain crunch. Piling hot slices will entrap moisture and smooth texture in minutes.
Keep in Short term storage

Store chips that are completely cooled in airtight container lined using paper towel. Keep at room temperature not less than 24 hours. Heat in the air fryer between two to three minutes to regain the crunchy texture then serve.
